What you say makes perfect sense, but I doubt you would ever get an astronaut, cosmonaut, or taikonauts to go up in a spacecraft without windows. The first Mercurys had a periscope instead of a window, and they hated it. Demanded a window, and got it. Though I think the window was probably simpler and lighter than the periscope mechanism, so that made sense. But TV is different.
That reminds me of the old sci-fi movie of the early 50s, "Destination Moon". They had a big TV screen that could be switched to view forward and aft. I believe they did have some small windows but couldn't use them during launch and landing. Same with the old "Trip to the Moon" ride at Disneyland. It had 2 big screens 1forward and 1aft. We just assumed that's the way it would be. Didn't think about windows one way or the other.
