The cupola would be a big hit with the astronauts, and the biggest problem IMO would be a crew member "bogarting" it like Talby from "Dark Star."
Unfortunately, even on the original launch schedule, the cupola wasn't scheduled until the last mission. I hope NASA doesn't eliminate it. It's not very big.
Again, if NASA is too damn nervous to take any risks at all any more, I'm going to have a hard time believing they have what it takes to get people onto the Moon.
