Tell me you believe there was the national will to do more than the US was doing prior to 9-11, and I'll have to write you off as nuts. (And people accuse me of being condescending - what else can one be in something like this?)
But you seem to be saying that's true. (Appropriate condescension.)
The implication is that Clinton should have invaded Afghanistan. Packed up, sent Americans off to die, and attacked. Fought their way across Pakistan, because we wouldn't have had the money to bribe them, and attacked Afghanistan.
What is your estimation of how that would have been received in Congress prior to 9-11? Can you make any guesses? Do you really think that was viable?
And can you see a difference between someone who resists an unjust war, and someone who takes an oath and then deserts? Is in the military in wartime, but disappears, doesn't show up? No records, the way there are for other folks? I mean, the one guy promised, took an oath, and received training. (This is gratuitous silliness, because obviously there is a big difference.)
Anyway, this is the last of my "in other words". I think it's clear enough for your basic 5th grader, and I'm tired of being a tutor. You'll have to get up there on your own if this doesn't help. (Now that was gratuitous condescension without any real excuse for it except bad manners. Which is no excuse.)
Regards, and cheers, (And that was gratuitous sarcasm, with no real excuse for it, either.)

Oh, Dan. For crying out loud! In other words, get serious.
