Al Sadr is getting more and more support; he's a Shi-ite; he's among a minority within the Shi-ites, but they are 60% of the population and the Sunni insurgents are now in contact with Al Sadr's followers.
What the WH Adminstration has failed to see, was that Iraq is a violent society. That's how Saddam stayed in power, that's how he got to power.
Democracy means respect of minorities, acceptance of rules (as all political families have their chance), and how can that come to Iraq?
