As I recall, the Iraqis would greet us as saviours, massive quantities of WMD would be found, Iraqi oil would pay for reconstruction, there would be another democracy in the Middle East, and Halliburton could declare a large dividend.
Except for the latter, none of these has happened. And I don't know if Halliburton is declaring the dividend, yet, or using the money to pay taxes. Heh, heh.
Now shouldn't someone be responsible for such gross miscalculations leading to so many deaths?
Not if you ask conservatives. No one is responsible, except Bill Clinton. He didn't invade Afghanistan.
And these people TALK personal responsibility. I wonder what that means to them.
