I've wondered for years what was filling my Window's folder with really long named .tmp files. Two were formed everytime I booted up. Annoying! And there it is: Mdm.exe, a debugging program in my Windows ME. Not any more, that stupid little thing is dead (.old).
Alot on my task list, I believe, has do do with aspects of my hard-drive on it's last legs. (I get a warning during BIOS boot 'bout the primary drive, a death moan, apparently) I'm procastinating replacing it, one of these days soon. I'm pretty sure I can't slave a new drive as the motherboard's got four things on it so it's start from scratch.
When I do replace it, one of the first things I'm gonna do is de-activate a bunch of this crap.
Thanks again for solving an old riddle.
