re: Frustration.

Mary Anne makes very some good points.

With Iraq, I still think we are doing the right thing. I think we have to look towards the future of Iraq and the Middle East. A free and prosperous Iraq would not only be great for the Iraqis, but for the Middle East region. It will not be an easy goal, but it is a worthy one. It is worth sacrifices.

You are right about us not hearing the good news coming out of Iraq. I have a cousin in Iraq and another in Afghanistan (He was in that first helicopter that crashed that was all over the news- He may be back here in the states, I have not heard from him in a while). One of my old High School buddies has also been in Iraq. He is now back for a while.

Both my cousin, who is still in Iraq, and my best friend, have told a different story from what we see on the news. Most Iraqis are friendly to them, and they have done a lot of good things for the people over there.

Most of Americans alive today have not had to fight for their freedom, including me. We take our freedom for granted. We forget we went to war for our freedom and that thousands died in bloody wars for our freedom.

I look forward to the day when wars are a thing of the past, when all countries of the Earth solve their problems through communications instead of bullets. But this will not happen until every leader that is an oppressor of human rights is brought down.
