Personally, it sounds like a blast. Fun I mean, no pun. I'd love to get paid to jump out of planes and go HALO, CDQC, SERE and all the other fun stuff some folks do. Not everybody buys into the bit about killing folks and the why though so folks like us go skydiving, scuba, camping and play paintball. Eventually the potential comes to kill somebody who possibly don't deserve it or kill a teammate by neglecting the situation. Some people decide that they don't ever wan't to participate in killing someone. Also, ever notice how many flat-footed pussies there are around? Does someone not have the right to an opinion because they have flat feet?

I remember you mentioning that at jump school that you thought the SEALs you met were not all that bright. Was that your rational for not attempting that job (ranger, SF, PJ, CCT or what have you...) and getting into the action of the day?

I don't think it makes him a "pussy" because he's never served in uniform. It may just say he didn't need the money for college or never imprinted on a role model who served.
