I agree, 'specially 'bout the stratigraphic placement of one rock unit. Always start in the middle of a page when drawing a stratigraphic column in the field notebook!
There might be geomorphologic aspects of the hills that could tell us as much about the geologic/hydrolic history of Gusev as the rocks themselves. They'll be subtle, though.
