I only spent a few days in France last summer, but ran across absolutely none of the stereotypical French rudeness toward Americans. On the other hand, maybe it was just too damn hot to bother with annoying me. ;)

I did not like that there were no water fountains, or paying to pee, but you could get a really tasty packet of fresh fruit pieces at McDonalds instead of fries, so I suppose it balances out.
