A question on women in the military

As background, I personally believe there are some places in the military where women do not belong. Not many, but some. A million years of biology and instinct are real factors in these things, and the capabilities of women to do the job aren't always the main issue.

Now, as to a specific instance:

Obviously, having women present does not automatically ensure civilized behavior. The question I have is this:

Based on some behaviors I have personally seen, anecdotes of gang behavior, and this incident, is it possible that young, virile men are actually more likely to act up in some stupid manner when young women are in the vicinity than otherwise? Think a bunch of stags in a field. Add a female. What happens? Have you ever seen a group of teenage boys trying to impress a girl?

I don't know the whole story behind the pictures, but I do know a lot of those pictures seem to have that girl posed in them.

Is the military more likely to misbehave in mixed company than otherwise?

I have no facts on this, just this question. Opinions welcome, especially from those with military experience.
