I agree

I am so upset with this screw up I have begun to wonder if the weasel Kerry may need to be elected just to show the world the US is intolerant of these kind of leadership failures. As long as Republicans keep control of Congress Kerry can't do too much damage and we will return to the balance of idiocies we had during most of the Clinton administration. Bush's crappy tax cuts will die at the false pretext expiration date and Kerry can allow the good ones to be extended. We now know we can't trust either party to spend money wisely if they have full control of the Whitehouse and Congress. Kerry is commited to completing the transfer in Iraq and it is doubtful anyone could screw up the postwar much worse than Bush's team has as long as they are commited to rebuilding Iraq as a democracy. I understand that Iraq is a tough nut, but it is clear Bush and his team drastically underestimated the cost and difficulty despite the fact that there were people who clearly saw the potential. I do not think that potential problems should have prevented the war, but do think they should have been more carefully considered and far better contingency plans should have been in place.

Mark
