Online polls are a load of crap. Always.
On the other hand, when a real poll is taken, the results are that 69 percent of the respondents want Rumsfeld to stay in.
Some other results:
- two-thirds of Americans favored criminal charges against the soldiers involved.
- 54 percent said punishment should go up the chain of command to higher-level officers, who allowed a breakdown of training and discipline
- 48 percent of those polled approved of Bush's handling of the scandal, while 35 percent disapproved and 17 percent expressed no opinion.
- By a wide margin -- 62 percent against 31 percent -- the American public believed the apparent abuse represented "a few isolated incidents" rather than something more widespread.
It will be interesting to see which set of numbers becomes the "meme."

Nice try. Too bad the truth is the exact opposite.
