All sides? Bullshit.

Please see this post again. It went past the board without making a ripple the first time.

If I had the ability to range further back here, I could come up with a lot more examples. This was just the most recent one. And that's just on this board. I could fill a megabyte of Robert's drive with examples from elsewhere.

When our enemies do something terrible to our people, the typical response is often something along the lines of "we asked for it." Hell, a lot of people (not on this board, thank God) had that response to 9/11.

At best, one will get "It's a terrible thing, BUT..." and then a long dissertation on how we had it coming, or how the poor perpetrators couldn't help it.

The idea of attaching "BUT..." to the prison abuses somehow outrages these same people. Endless mitigating circumstances for our enemies. None for us.
