Syria and Iran

I, too, am concerned about what Syria and Iran are going to be pulling in the next few months. The obvious hole in security from Iran is the hordes of pilgrims that pass through Iraq, or visit shrines there.

Sanctions have been placed on Syria (finally) but I'm not sure what they'll really accomplish. Libya caved in to a combination of patient jawboning and stark terror. Maybe it can work on Syria, too.
