The only folks who could control ed are the conservatives, and so far I believe they enjoy him.

They certainly don't make any attempt to moderate his posts. Not that I've seen, and if one has on occasion it hasn't been consistent.

If a liberal gets even slightly out of line they are all over that person. High dudgeon takes over. There is outrage, I promise.

Lindy and I have experienced that form of discrimination in spades, and while I believe on occasion I deserved it, I wasn't nearly, not 1% as foul or tasteless as ed. (In my opinion, of course.)

I personally cannot find any socially redeeming aspect to ed. On my best days I look, and even then wonder why good people die and then there's ed. And again, in my opinion, he doesn't belong, at all, even a little bit, on a Board accessible by children, women or men. Of any ilk.

But, the reality is that the conservatives act as if they love him. It's only the liberals who protest his presence with any consistency.
