.....versus being embroiled in a war gone wrong, large recruitments of terrorists that now HATE America and it's allies, and the beginnings of a Holy War.

Nope, it wasn't under Clinton. We all had a reasonably safe and productive life without looking over our shoulders. The economy was strong. Our futures looked bright. We were paying billions of dollars to intelligence agencies to "take care of business" for us. Something slipped while we were asleep.

And the black markets for international sales of dangerous weapons went to the highest bidder. Frankly, it looks as if we're on the road to hell.
