Please don't libel engineers.
I went to school with, and have friends who are engineers, including a couple of CEOs of flashy companies, and NONE of them would stoop to using terms such as "butt-monkey" or "butt-ignorant".
The preference for language like that outside a locker room isn't a function of ones engineering background, but the lack of an education in a liberal, not not narrow, occupational sense.
Though those folks have advanced engineering degrees, they are also quite literate.
