I did not condemn them...

From what I heard the camps, especially dachau made the worst description of hell seem mildly unpleasant- I dont think the two that I talked to did any atrocities... but as one told me "what could we do to stop it?"

One of the men that told me the incident seemed to feel a need to, it was at a happy party, but when he heard my great uncle served in the thunderbirds he just started telling me the horror he saw... like I could possibly understand what these heroes did... I sure as hell respected him...it almost seemed like he was confessing to me

Tom seems to think I brought this up as a comment on Abu Gharib, I didnt- I was thinking of my dead relatives- one of whom told us what happened- he gave us a Nazi banknote that he took in the war... I just brought it up to see if others had heard similar tales- as I said before, I think WWII was the most moral war we ever fought, and while I respect all that serve, those that served in WW2 I respect completely, and also think the orders they were given were just...

The difference between abu gharib and the concentration camps is light years- that anyone sees a comparison is an indication of people that value party more than reality...
