Manhattan Project
When I was a kid I interviewed my grandfather about life during WW2, He didnt fight in the war, but he sacrificed and worked on the war effort- he worked building ships for part of the war...
Anyway one thing he mentioned was that the atom bomb project was no secret, that he heard constant rumors about it... This is contrary to what I have read about the manhattan project- My grandfather was just a blue collar worker, not any where near the 'classified' people, so if he really did know about the project it had to be common knowledge...
Anyone else here hear similar stories?
