Tried to post this at DemocraticUnderground...

Just to see if the event was even mentioned elsewhere, I tried to raise A.N.S.W.E.R, but their board is down. DU is up, but they won't let you use the search function unless you are a donor (!) A manual scan revealed nothing on the subject.

Tried to post a comment, but apparently unless you have replied to a certain number of posts, you aren't allowed to start a thread.

Just out of curiosity, I checked out their rules.

WHO IS WELCOME ON DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND, AND WHO IS NOT

We welcome Democrats of all stripes, along with other progressives who will work with us to achieve our shared goals.

This is a "big tent" message board. We welcome a wide range of progressive opinion. You will likely encounter many points of view here that you disagree with.

We ban conservative disruptors who are opposed to the broad goals of this website. If you think overall that George W. Bush is doing a swell job, or if you wish to see Republicans win, or if you are generally supportive of conservative ideals, please do not register to post, as you will likely be banned.

Well.

I have a login to Democrats.com, but it will not allow me to access forums at my access level. I have no idea what that means, and they aren't telling me.

However, their rules are similar:

Members of Democrats.com must observe the following rules:

- You must be a Democrat
- You must generally support the principles and candidates of the Democratic Party
- You must support our efforts to build a dynamic and supportive community of Democratic activists, and respect the efforts of our volunteer moderators to keep our forums positive in tone and focused on issues, not personalities and attitudes and management issues

Nothing makes me appreciate HZ more than checking out some of the other boards. Especially the big ones run by open-minded liberals.
