Tom, you're right that laws were broken by the leaders of Enron but you're wrong to assume that the damage they did was only through unlawful actions. Unfortunately our tax laws and system allow companies like Enron to form offshore accounts and holdings to dodge regulations and taxes. These loopholes, which help keep corporate American filthy rich beyond the wildest dreams, keep the unlawful acts hidden even longer, impervious to detection. Tom, this isn't a liberal or conservative issue here. It's human greed at its worse and should be deplorable by both sides of the political spectrum.
