Cannabis for crowd control.

England supporters who smoke cannabis in Lisbon before the match will not be arrested, Portuguese police said last night.

The host nation's relaxed stance means that fans will not be arrested, charged with any offence or even have the drug confiscated - unless they become violent.

Lisbon city centre has plenty of dealers selling soft drugs to football fans, but police say their priority during Euro 2004 is alcohol abuse.

The policy will evoke memories of England's clash with Portugal in Eindhoven, during Euro 2000, when police said many hooligans were too high to cause trouble.

(hope the previous post wasn't too colorful. I was going to post on the Corporate MotherF---er board but there are some neighborhoods where it's better to walk around than through. As far as what I was doing there, it's like Bowser said:

"It's important to have a perspective, and when everyone, especially a government which cannot seem to tell the truth is urging one to look to one side, only. Clearly there's something on the other side they don't want you to see. People have to look both ways to be safe.")
