Well...

It depends on your definition of lying. Tenet and the company provided Bush, Rumsfeld, Powell, etc. with the intelligence that said Iraq still had WMD and had not eliminated their stockpiles. The UN could not account for tons of precursor chemicals used to make some of the deadliest nerve toxins.

The fear was real even if the quality of intelligence was limited. The dictator was defiant and the course of action was straightforward.

Sadly some folks have a compelling need to hate Bush, Cheney and the President's administration. When it was not Iraq it was Afghanistan and the wedding or even earlier ridiculing the syntax spoken in a speech. With Cheney it was Halliburton and the closed forum of energy policy advisors.

Many folks need a scapegoat for all that's wrong with the world. Bush, Cheney and all of DC could be toasted in a nuclear attack and the left would simply blame Bush and continue to do so until they found a new scapegoat.

Ronald Reagan is gone and still hated and blamed by the left. I polled the folks at the prominent Democratic blog Dailykos what they really thought of Reagan. The responses were quite interesting. It's fun to get people to open up honestly on their own home turf without concealing their contempt.

There's a big difference between folks who intentionally do wrong to benefit themselves and those who genuinely think they are helping others but make a mess of things. The Bush administration has a few of both, but it is not even close to the heart of evil you (and Lindy for that matter) seem to think it is.
