Interestingly enough, this is the sort of thing is to be expected when the left has a virtual totalitarian lock on the educational system. In the 50s, when the McCarthyite era was in full force, it was courageous and honorable to speak you mind and stand up for dissenting opinion, now the tables are reversed and the leftists are unintentionally defending the Stalinists and the suppression of dissent (and interruption of the groupthink mush that constitutes social studies).

Has anyone watched how History has been replaced with leftist terminology? Off the top of my head I can think of a number of euphemisms now applied to rename what used to be a straightforward dissemination of history:

World Cultures
Political Science
Humanities
Global Studies

History is dead. I have few suggestions so that they can be even more descriptive of what is taught. Some are long-winded, but that's par for the course:

The Glorification of Non-Western Nations
White World Destroyers and their Victims
Cultural Sensitivity
America's Trail of Destruction

I find some of the posters response quite amusing. It was all I could do to mentally suppress the vision of some of them keeping themselves from strangling the poor, 'hateful' kid where he stands.

Sadly, I don't even blame the teachers, they were taught and indoctrinated and really believe that they are the good guys. I was taught the same things by folks who wholeheartedly believed them and feel they are standing up for the downtrodden and the 'victims'. A little education can be dangerous.

On my blog, in a few days, I will be going into the historic roots of today's leftist movement and Robert Hutchins' The Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions. Few realize that the current leftist agenda from the belief in UN deliverance to the opposition to nationalism find their roots in some of the idealist communists from the 1940's and the work they accomplished in the 1960's during the Vietnam era.

It's always fun to share this sort of information.
