By no stretch of the imagination can it be said that Pres. Bush or his staff "did spring to action" on 9/11. Well OK, Card whispered, and Fleischer made some signage, I'll give you that.

Let me get this straight: In your version of reality, it's more important to worry about perhaps scaring a few kids than it is to take charge of the nation's defense and perhaps save a few (thousand) lives?
Why was it so important that he remain in that classroom at all? With aircraft being hijacked, why did the Secret Service allow Pres. Bush to remain in a well-publicized location in immediate proximity to an international airport? Why did Fleischer hold up that sign? And while we're at it, since when does the President of the United States take instructions from his press secretary when "America is under attack"?
Spring to action. Hardly.
