Good grief, Tom. You claim that Saddam Hussein "was a significant terror threat." Not true. This petty dictator was no threat whasoever. Not to us. Not to his neighbors. Sanctions and inspections had so emaciated his military infrastructure, he spent the past ten years just building palaces and raising statues. He had zero capacity to mount a serious military campaign and no ability to engage in international terrorism.
