Nobody has to read any of the references. God forbid I should throw actual information into a pissing contest.

I say "read it" that because the responses to many of my posts have made it painfully obvious that the responder has not read the reference I have put in there, is perfectly happy with the little worldview he or she has built up, and really doesn't want to mess it up with any uncomfortable data.

I work fairly hard researching and formatting some of my posts. To some people, it's enough that the media has made its official pronouncements and confusing things with original sources or conflicting information is just rocking the boat.

The L.A. Times, in particular, is becoming nearly infamous for false and misleading takes on stories. They're certainly not alone. If it wasn't for the internet and other sources, some of which I try to point out here, the media would be feeding you a steady diet of crap. Then again, it's crap you like, right?

Nobody is forcing you to read anything I write at all. Tune me out.
