I know you rejected earlier the idea of a blog. This idea is proably better for you:

Start up a diary at Redstate.org.* Those "extra effort" posts would be appreciated by a much larger audience.** It's not like a blog you have to maintain and do regularly - it doesn't mean you have to abandon HZ either, lord knows you're a staple here - but there's a much larger audience out there awaiting good insight and good links. And don't tell me all the other bloggers have it all covered - because that's just not true. There's always a unique take or individual insight that makes it worthwhile.

It's as easy to make as a post and your diary will hold all your writings so that anyone can keep up with your entries. You can crosslink to old writings easily and you can always link to them here as well.

Just a suggestion. I think you're ready for prime time now Tom. Lord knows most folks here have had the requisite 4+ years of the MSNBC/HZ school of writing to outwrite and outwit a large number of columnists - who have written far less than the more prolific members of the Zone have.

*Redstate is newly minted. It's going to be a force to be reckoned with as the election comes up. It's filled with folks who appreciate civilized debate and do their homework. Now would be a very good time to start up.

**And as much as it pains me to say it the type of extra effort you put into a lot of posts is generally not appreciated here anymore - something you should be swift enough to have realized by now. How many well researched posts roll off the screen to the land of oblivion?
