Listen, its quite simple. Obama was elected and his party made gains in the Senate. The Republicans are divided, their ticket disgraced, the President has a mandate and street creds and his base is energized, the economy is improving and the Right haven't got any way of going after him except by manufacturing this phony issue. They face a prospect of four more years of him, and he's not in any mood to play Mr Nice Guy any more. They have also gone after Rice and Holder, just because they are black.
If you really want to know why there was insuffcient security at that Libya station, its because the House Republicans blocked bills for security improvements requested by the State Department.
