Are you channeling Bowser now?

...and the minions of the religious right find that enough to Invade his country, usurp the soverignty of his former country, upset the detente that existed between the Sunni and Shia and deny the Iraqi people the opportunity to right their own problems.

The only legitimacy recognized by the religious right is the biblical legitimacy of the King James version of the New Testament.

First of all, I don't know what the hell the "religious right" has to do with this. Ironic, considering how bent out of shape everyone gets here if I link the American Left to Marxism.

Second, I don't consider "sovereignity" an issue, here. Every damn war ever fought was with a sovereign nation. And if "sovereignity" somehow confers legitimacy, particularly in tyrannies, why was the Left so cranked about South Africa a few years back?

Third, the "detente" between Sunni and Shia in Iraq was because the Sunni were killing the Shiites and others off by the hundred thousands. If you consider that legitimate too, let me know.

As for the invasion "denying the Iraqi people the opportunity to right their own problems," I'll just let that one lie there smelling like a dead carp in July. See point three for clue.

What next? You going to complain about the Emancipation Proclamation violating the plantation owners' property rights?
