The sooner Arafat is taking a dirt bath, the better. He is the only leadership variable in decades of Middle East peace talks that has never changed, and when you have replaced all the parts but one in a non-working machine, it doesn't take an engineer to figure out where the problem is.

I have to give Clinton credit where it's due: he didn't pull a peace settlement out of the hat, but he busted his ass trying, and it was obvious again who was the problem.

Hell, give the West Bank to Jordan, which controlled it for many years. Of course, the king of Jordan would rather have a live wolverine stuffed up his robe than have the Palestinians as a responsibility.

The wall was the best idea the Israelis have ever had. Given the choice, building a wall sure beats tanks and missiles. And it's working, too.

I would have like to have seen it a little less convoluted, but a LOT of politics is involved on both sides.
