Opposing a politician is not dividing the country, at least not in a democracy, in which the political and governing processes are both supposed to be about opposition and support. Using adjectives like "unpatriotic" and "traitorous" to describe people who oppose a politician -- now that's divisive. Who has been doing that for 4 years?
I agree that opposing a politician is not dividing the country. The democrats have been accusing the president of everything that is not true, that's not opposing a view, that's creating a false scenario. The difference is the democrats were lying or assuming if you wish before the facts came out and only to find out that they were not true. All the reports that have come out clear President Bush. He's not a liar and if you think that it's just politics to call someone a liar before you know all the facts, then we disagree, I think it was a cynical action of the democrats and was dividing the country on false premises. It's one thing to have a personal view and play judge and jury but it's an other to spread falsehoods across the country when a commission of peers says otherwise.
Without more information about your family dynamics, I couldn't possibly comment. Could we get your sister over here to give her side of the story, or would that be Anti-family?
Really, that important. I'll tell you what, strike the whole paragraph, I'd rather savor the blissful memories it roused.
Guess that rules out mentioning......anybody but me in future post, unless I invite them for analysis. Anti-family??? Where did that come from?
Couldn't resist that little negative "propaganda" adjective, couldja?
You mean it wasn't propaganda?
Tell me, when you go to someone else's church, do you criticize the sermon?
Only if asked. If I would have known it was a democratic only response request I would have stayed silent. I personally think honest criticism is healthy, even if it includes the other party.
See you at the polls.
I prefer mailing in my vote. Hey, it's got to be better for the environment anyway, unless you can walk there.
It sure would discourage people from popular voting from news reports the day of the election.
