Hey, I used to be a a Democrat... and most of my extended family still are Democrats. Bottom line is we are Americans and look out for eachother. The partisan stuff gets real old, real fast. If someone makes a real nasty partisan comment it can irk one, even me, but I try to respond fairly and unemotionally more often than not or simply not respond.
As for Tom...I don't think Tom has yet discovered the joys of some of the other political sites where his links will not just be read, but will be responded too in depth and detail. He get's frustrated here too often and that shows in his posts. He's a good guy though and just needs to divert some of those posts to places where they'll really dig and come up with an intelligent response to his arguments. Arguing with Don or Bowser just doesn't qualify as pushing the Democratic envelope or engaging the top-notch in political acumen. (Oops! Now it's me making the little digs...;-) Thank goodness this is the flame board)
