I have known around 4 women who were raped/molested during childhood, and one man who was raped in his adolescence- although (as your innuendo reflects) given the stigma surrounding abuse on males, I probably know a lot of men who simply would never tell. So do you, most likely.

The results on all of these people was profound and devistating. Its very much like mudering people. I have never known any of these people to be able to lead happy normal lives with happy normal mature relationships. Maybe some folks out there get past it, but I have not seen anyone of them in my acquaintance do so. I look at my healthy relationships and bright future and thank my lucky stars it never happened to me, while I watch those old friends falling into addiction and abusive relationships and even suicide.
