I've found the theme of the message board is actually secondary to getting to know people. Like a community of sorts. Some of the regulars here have been talking with one another on various boards for 4 or 5 years. Theres a lot of history. When a new person comes in its nice to start a history. If they continually change their name without giving notice it destroys the history.
