Clinton.

I think it was the "blowjob" remark that set me off. It has become a common practice to act as though the only negative thing Clinton did during his administration was harass an intern. This has been most commonly expressed by "Clinton lied, nobody died," as though his many military actions, often based on premises that later turned out false (check out the "Bosnia genocide" sometime), had never occurred. Maybe I should have explained my reasoning better.

Anyway, you, and a lot of other people for that matter, have failed to address my basic premise that the entity the liberals think should run the world has screwed up almost every geopolitical thing it has touched.

We had "goodwill" from those who normally are hostile to us as long as it looked like we were on our knees. When we stood up and started swinging, the "goodwill" went back to normal hostility.

Most of the people who hate us now hated us on September 10th.

As for the "lie" bit, which is getting as irritating as "unilateral," two reports cleared the administration of any undue influence on the intelligence agencies.

I believe Bush, using the information he had at the time, made an honest decision. Many others at that time interpreted the intelligence the same way, including many now shouting for Bush's head.

Whether another decision would have been better, or worse, is open to discussion. I have yet to hear any plausible alternatives that would have worked. Most of them involve trusting our lives to the United Nations.
