But even I have to admit that Card has gone off the deep end- I have read interviews of him and the guy is just a hairs breadth from being a militia nut- he is a militant mormon, and his stances would shock most 'sane' hardcore right wingers...

He wrote one VERY good book but then spewed out novel after novel of the same crap...

Look at the plots:
"Ender's game": (uniquely talented child saves humanity, but must overcome his evil jealous brother)

"Songs of distant Earth" the series: (uniquely talented child saves humanity, but must overcome his evil jealous brother)

"Prentice Alvin" the series: (uniquely talented child saves humanity, but must overcome his evil jealous brother)

The guy seems to have issues, and to be blunt the majority of his stuff is crap... The guy really seems unbalanced

I really would thing twice before using his writings as support for your views
