to give card credit

Some of his novels, such as the new Ender series that focuses around Bean, petra and etc are nearly as good as enders game, but don't have the predictable card-themes.

Some of his older work (anyone remember 'Wyrms'?) never had that theme.

He got stuck in a rut after speaker-for-the-dead, and wrote a lot of crap.
