Yikes, don't know how, but this was my post.

The greatest problem is that no one knows where the balance is---so you are not alone.

The "level playing field" is mythology. Japan long has subsidized exports that sell for less in the US than in Japan. The response of American big business is repeal the balance of the agents in production by moving the production offshore. This is at the expense of labor. This under-employment requires higher taxes to provide welfare to displaced workers, which in turn requires shipping more production functions offshore to allow for "creative" bookkeeping.

This viscious circle creates the sort of deficits we face under this administration. These deficits are reflected by China and Japan owning 41 per cent of Treasury debt. The foreign ownership of debt is problem enough, but when it is concentrated so tightly, it puts this country in grave financial danger.

Government should be a tool for the protection of American jobs and business. Incentives and penalties should be the tools to fine tune, not to dictate the economy so business would find less advantage in the Cayman Islands.
