the world was safer when Saddam was alive

Why didn't Bush sr go further into Iraq in 1991? He knew how dangerous Saddam was to his own people.

What's interesting is that the UN could have allowed him to overthrow Saddam (if it had been done during the war).
Bush jr had no internationally recognized justification to do that as there was no proof Iraq was a threat to the world.

I'm amazed how americans can let their leader invade a country and when they see there was no threat, still support him.

It happened before in other countries, so it's just human nature to find millions of justifications in order to withdraw from the infamy of starting a war, unprovoked.
