These were beliefs. The UN was sent to Iraq to turn them into facts.
It didn't succeed.

Saddam was a threat to the Iraqis, inside the country and sometimes outside too. But he had not the record Ghadafi had as 2 commercial airplanes exploded in the sky, and it is largely recognized he was responsible for it.

It's amazing what is done to remove from americans' mind the fact that their country invaded another, without provocation, and has killed so many who never did anything against americans.

There is nothing worse than waging war against another country.
Only extremely serious reasons could warrant it.
