BTW, I don't blame Kerry or his staff for this one.
It would take a very odd kind of mind indeed to think, "You know, if I jump up to touch that copter, an impulse that would be shared by many normal people, some asshat photographer might take a shot of me in midair that makes me look like I'm hanging on to the bottom of a fleeing helicopter."
On the other hand, somebody should have figured out the bunny suit ahead of time. ;)
The fact is, if someone is cranking out ten shots per minute of your every action, you can bet that about five percent of those photos are going to be very stupid looking, or even worse than stupid. So while these photos are fun, they have no real political significance.
