Should the Press use exit polling again to announce results, they'll probably follow their habit of calling states:

If 1% of the votes are in and the Democrat has a 1% lead, the state will be called for the Democrat.

Even if 85% of the votes are in and the Republican has a 55-45% lead, the race will be "too close to call." This is especially true if the polls out West are still open.
