9/11 happened after this was published by the way. Why doesn't the author ask GB SR what he thinks now? He also fails to mention that the casualties in toppling Saddam were less than GW1. A result counter to what Bush and Baker expected and it was done with less troups. Bush Jr was correct that we were in a better position a decade on to take Sadddam out. What GB Jr miserably failed to do was planning the aftermath. In truth only half of the elder Republican's predictions applied this time around although they were probbaly correct then. Their failure was in not fully enforcing the no fly zones and allowing Saddam to massacre people we encouraged to rebel.
