Seemingly the only people who care for these folks are their families and those who grieve that their lives were sacrificed to the vanity of their commander in chief, a politician. Saddam is gone, there are no WMDs, the terrorists never were there, and the politicians are still seeing that people die.
You're damned right, it's political. It's political to ignore the dead, it's political to have them over there dying in the first place. It's the political vanity of GWB and his accomplices.
It's also greed. Don't forget that. Greed and politics go together. Rob from the poor, give to the rich. In this case it's the lives of the poor which are being used. And the lives of the poor which are being dishonored by this process.
Dishonor - when the warmongers want to ignore the dark side of their ignoble ambition, refuse to acknowledge the dead even to the point of NOT ALLOWING PICTURES OF THEIR CASKETS, that's dishonor.
No matter how you cut it.
Disgraceful.
