Just about everything in your post is wrong.
Right now our solders are fighting to free a people and help establish a democracy. You, inherited your freedom from others, who died for your freedom in 1776, so it is easy for you to sit there and say we shouldn’t fight for the Iraqis.
Remember that, you inherited your freedom, you did not earn it, you did not fight for it. Someone else died for your freedom.
Maybe someone in 1776 should have had a Donald’s death count and complained that the revolutionist were dying for a worthless cause? That is what you and Donald are doing now.
Or perhaps someone in 1864 should have kept a Civil War Death count, saying the Yankees were dying for a worthless cause.
Or perhaps someone in 1943 should have kept a WWII death count and said that Americans were dying for a worthless cause.
American lives were lost to free southern slaves. American lives were lost to free Nazis slaves. When tyrants and dictators lock freedom up, it takes blood to release it. That is the price that is paid. The price of blood was paid for your freedom in 1776.
When the last tyrant falls, and the world is united in peace, when human rights are observed and respected on every inch of land, perhaps then no more blood will be spilled. Perhaps then, the human race can come together and start really exploring space- working together instead of fighting.
But as long as there are Hitlers and Saddams, terrorist like OBL. As long as there are places like the current Sudan, North Korea and Iran, there will be bloodshed. Turning a blind eye makes us hypocrites and guilty- guilty for ignoring crimes against humanity. Hypocrites because someone else dies for our human rights and freedom.
