Religion is a myth that humans created to try to make sense of a scary world... imagine a time when the fact that the sun and the moon rose was only understandable in terms of gods.... a few generations ago the world was 6,000 years old according to devout christians. The fact is that our minds have proved religions of all faiths to be wrong... Some of what the religions say is worth believing in- kindness, helping those less fortunate, etc.- but ask yourself, is a god that demands these kind qualities from us under penalty of eternal torture worth worshiping?

All religions can be perverted to do evil... we burned witches that 'consorted with the devil' here... we forced the the native Hawaiians to destroy their culture because it was 'pagan'... belief in Pele is no more silly than belief in christianity's mass murdering, sadistic god...

We arent ignorant any more, we need to wake up and accept that religions have good points and points that are really just stupid. Islam isnt the reason for terrorism, it is just being used as an excuse... just like the bible has been used to kill so many... the real culprit is the human willingness to latch onto any excuse to kill those they hate.
