Yes, let's ignore the baseline issue - wanton slaughter of schoolchildren and get our panties all atwist over villification, i.e. assigning responsibility by name to a sick cult that has infested the body religion with at most a few ineffectual disclaimers from the adherents.
Mark Steyn writes...
"The good news is that the carnage in Beslan was so shocking it prompted a brief appearance by that rare bird, the moderate Muslim. Abdulrahman al-Rashed, the general manager of al-Arabiya Television, wrote a column in Asharq al-Awsat headlined, "The Painful Truth: All The World's Terrorists Are Muslims!" "Our terrorist sons are an end-product of our corrupted culture," he wrote. This is true. But, as with Nicolson's prettified prose in London, the question remains: So what? What are you going to do about it? If you want your religion to be more than a diseased death cult, you're going to have to take a stand."

My Gawd! He said "all the world's terrorists are Muslims". How un-PC of him and how brave, given his locale. Too bad only a blatant outrage like shooting kids in the back can produce many such "brave" utterances by influential Muslims in Western democracies.
And yes, I agree that the Chechnian people have been brutalized by the Russkies. I wonder how all those Arabs managed to get themselves killed inside that school?
