Peters says: "If Muslim religious leaders around the world will not publicly condemn the taking of children as hostages and their subsequent slaughter — if those “men of faith†will not issue a condemnation without reservations or caveats — then no one need pretend any longer that all religions are equally sound and moral."
I wonder if Mr. Big Mouth will stipulate that if Muslim leaders do condemn the slaughter of children, that Islam is just as sound and moral as, say, Christianity. He can read them himself, as can you.

If the Muslim World League's condemnation isn't specific enough, I'm sorry. It says "all terrorism", and specifically mentions non-Muslim innocents.
Muslim leaders at their summit in Kuwait in 1987 called on the international community to convene a conference under the auspices of the UN to combat terrorism. The 7th Islamic summit in Casablanca in 1994 also condemned terrorism.
The [World Supreme] Council [of Mosques] urged Imams at mosques across the world "to confront deviant ideas by clarifying to people the correct and unbiased rules and teachings of Islam."

If Western media are not covering this stuff with bells and whistles, it is nevertheless out there.
Please stop perpetuating these vile slurs against Islam. It does nothing to help moderates and humanitarians during the internal discussions on Muslim ethics and society for a bunch of Crusaders to talk about them as we talked about the "savage Jews" until only recently.
